I have been organizing my files..... I have two separate drives in my gig machine D:\ and E:\ both being used in VDJ
I do video mixing but find that at parties where I am the only Dj that audio becomes necessary.
My entire collection has been sorted out. bpm, cbg aligned, cued etc... problem is audio can be found on both drives.
I want to organize my audio files on one of these drives only, but would wish to maintain... cues.. bpms and cbgs
How do I append (join) the two database files together or import one into the other.. is there a way to do this comprimising the database?
I have thought about copying and pasting.. then changing by automatically finding and replacing the drive letters... know this work when i want to ensure that my backups of my hard drives still maintains.....analyzed bpms cbg and cues.

Do this test so you know what I am saying will work (as other don't believe it)...
Lets say you are moving Audio files from E: to D:
Do this in small groups -- not everything at once -- but just a few for the test.
Copy then Paste the files from E: to D: -- and make sure it's a COPY do not CUT
Preferably you want to go from E: to D: in the same folder structure - but not necessary.
After you COPY the files, open VirtualDJ and do a RECURSE of the new location where the files are.
You should see your BPMs and other info show up....
Just repeat the process ... small groups (100 files or so at a time) ... copy, open VirtualDJ, recurse, close
When you are all done and satisfied that the data has followed the moving of the tracks ... then you can delete the files off the E: drive. Then do a CHECK, CLEAN and FIX on the E: database.

recurse??? - would love to know exactly what this is...
I have copied an entire folder... tested it.. all seems intact... even sub folders look good. cues, bpms.. all there
thanks.. this has worked.....even with entire folders of over 1000 songs

It's usually a term used in programming, when I function calls itself. I guess in this case the recursion applies to reading the contents of the parent & sub-folders until all your music is added to your database.
