Sujet: How can I use my headphones when mixing videos

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I am using an external mixer and a dmc2

When playing 1 side and trying to beat mix into yhe other ..the only way I can hear the 2nd song is if I move the crossfader over but when I do that the video 2nd sides video starts showing . I know its not a sound card or mixer problem becaue my other dj program works

I have been reading and trying to find the info on the boards . I also looked in the manual but didn't find anything.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Ed

have you selected... external mixer in your sound setup? Inside virtual dj?

Yes ...

I can hear the sound from the headphones when I move the slider but the video is up on the screen as well

your mixer has to be midi to switch video when you move the crossfader... and also has to be linked to video crossfading for the video to move across as well

Depends which skin you are using! But on the top line of the skin there is a slider next to a set of headphones! Try adjusting the slider to hear both sides play @ once! i hope it helps i know it's not the most discriptive post but you'll know what i mean if you load the basic VDJ 5 skin. It's on the same line as Config.

Bare with me on as i'm knew to this

In the skin config section go to the video tab and de-select "Video Crossfade Automatic" and "Video Crossfader Linked To Audio Crossfader" and "Fade To Black On Volume Sliders" now your video should only fade when you tell it to fade.

Great i will fire this thing up tomorrow and try teh suggestions

Thanks
