Hi,
I'm here practicing and have a loop of Lady Gaga Just Dance and Poker Face playing nicely. I thought it would be neat to add some sound effects to my mix, and right click a song in the browser and select preview hoping to be able to hear it. A pop-up box appears and I hit the green play button and nothing happens.
Now I thought killing my nice synced loop and dropping a song out of a player would give this "preview" an available sound engine, but that didn't work either. Now I have no songs loaded to the players and no preview play.
Hmmmm...I wouldn't think any of my performance settings in the config would stop this "preview" player to work. Did I just find a bug?
Would someone check to see if their "preview" works? Just right click anything in the song browser and select preview. Hit the green play button. It should play, but it doesn't for me.
Samples play ok with both players occupied. But I did notice one thing. I just did a clone from my laptop to PC. The samples did not convert over. Question #2 Do I have to re-load all the samples? Did I miss something when copying over my VDJ folders and Databases?
Sorry Atomix I keep finding issues.
Thanks,
JimJamsHBGPA

Thanks guys for the help. I don't usually hook up my secondary soundcard when I'm practicing. But I'll test it out. It seems like it should be possible to just use what I have in the PC with single soundcard selected. I can load and play both decks and then play a secondary program like Audacity so there should be enough sound channel threads to have this all work within VDJ. Perhaps this could be looked at and modifyed in a future release.

You can do, just select your stereo card as it was 4.1 and it let you use it... but you will notice the issues, when you do that. Volume is higher when PFL is selected in the same deck that is playing, if you select the other volume decrease and you heard all in the same speakers.
