Not sure if this would work but I have an external soundblaster card and was wondering if I installed it and ran my external mixer which is hooked up to the virtual vinyl box through the line in ports ont the soundblaster would I be able to record on the same pc using a program such as cool edit pro or something similiar or would I need a seperate pc for recording?

You can actually record using the VV software.
You would choose line in as your recording option and then use the soundblaster to record the output of your mixer.

Thanks. Was thinking about buying a total control controller just for the crossfader function but this seems a cheaper option
