Has anyone used vdj to rip vinyl? - can I do this using the RMX? - if so does anyone have instructions?

ive never doen it but heres how i understand it works...
your RMX acts as your soundcard...you have your turntable connected tou your RMX via the RCA conectors and then the RMX to the usb.
now in my understanding when you hit the rip vinyl button it basically makes the RCA chanels on the RMX act as a line/mic input and records the signal which is sent to it.
now if you use timecodes for example, vdj is set to react to the timecode signal as a main function.. but when the rip button is pressed the vdj software alters the way it copes with an input signal and just records instead of reacts.
i dont really think there is anything advanced about vinyl ripping but as i say ive never done it...i could be right i could be wrong..maybe someone could elaborate some more..
