brand new laptop, hp hdx 16 t

vista home 64
intel dual core 2.93
8gb ram
music: ext hdd usb 2.0 (180,000+ files)

what more specs do you need?

I have a newer 64 bit Vista lappy too and I was getting VDJ crashes when I ran videos or karaoke. Now I run a fan up next to the heat sinks at the back of my computer. I put the fan (a 12" oscillator) right on the sinks touching the computer and no more VDJ crashes. Now my computer blue screens me saying "beginning crash dump" something or other. Are you having any thing like this? Or is it something completely different.

the crashes i'm experiencing are just vdj freezing up for a while.

no blue screens. that would be a nightmare. especially w/a new laptop
