I never use the record feature of this program. As far as I'm concerned it's added as a cool feature but not for serious mixing and worldwide release of your mix by uploading to content sites for others to download.

I don't use it because of small anomalous issues like that which you mention and because I like to use my DJM-800 mixer for it effects and my EFX. I also don't like having to use the internal crossfader.

Don't get me wrong. I use VDJ to do all of my recorded mixes even over my RANE Serato SL3 which has a built in record feature which is pretty awesome for recording when using Serato. I prefer to use VDJ because of it's superior features. It allows me to get my beatmatch dead on in a hurry so that I can concentrate on my mixing of samples, effects and my third deck.

What I do is connect my Yamaha Pocketrak 2G to the REC out on my Pioneer mixer. This little digital recorder records in multiple formats but I always choose .wav because you can always go down from there (you can't improve up). My mixes always go off great without a hitch with this method. i also bring it to karaoke gigs, record my clients then charge $10 for a CD of themselves singing. Great for generating extra $$!!

The best thing you could do is record your sessions on another pc via line in... i never use the built in recording feature... because as RudeDog said, its just a cool feature included in the software, but i dont think is intended for serious mix recording.

well i beleive it is intended to do pro recordings since it has the ability to record upto 320kbps or even .wav its just that to do this you have to have a very good computer to be able to handle the multi task which is playing 2 tracks at a certain time...this is while blending of course and at the same time recording...the couple of recordings i have done sound very good...just dont like the track auto split....other than that my comp handles multi tasking very well.
