Hello everyone I have been trying to figure out the best setting for scratching. When I scratch with VDJ it sounds to digital doesnt sound like real turntables. I have tried multiple configurations and no luck. I have the HC4500 tried that alone. I have the s3700 tried it with midi and sounds too digital. I tried the s3700 with timecode setup using u46dj soundcard still sounds funny. Any sugestions would help with prober setting. Dont want to swich over to serato. I have been using VDJ for more three years now.

IMO while VDJ is excellent software with great all-round performance it does lack in some areas like scratching. If scratching performance is high on your list there are better options available.

For me it's perfectly normal to use whichever tools is best for the job at hand, there is no shame nor is it weird to use different software for different jobs.. Serato is seriously superior in scratching performance. if you need that for certain jobs do so..

we are professional business types in this not bedroom hobbyists religiously advocating brand X. At least I hope so..

I just recently purchased serato for the same reason. I LOVE my virtual DJ for karaoke and private gigs, but wanted serato for scratching and time code. Virtual DJ has done my well the last 2 years, just want to try something else also.

Im using Serato also. The time codes are really good...

try using ur samples in wave....serato scratch sentance is in wave and sounds dope....i use it in VV

I love my RMX but im jumping on this pool too...as caliente know that im working on my TIMECODE...im about to purchase the SL1 box...(craigslist)...however my hercules is staying with me as a back up...

Ill be honest with you. Dj ying with midi, anyone can push a button.. Dj ying with time codes is more of a challenges and you have to be good to sound good. Something for my Virtual DJ homies to remember... The Top dog main event dj is not using midi. He's either using Technics 1200s or Pioneer CDJ 1000 mk3s with time codes..

I agree with Caliente123. It's funny how whenever you see a demo video of a new midi controller they always use a well known DJ, but that's the only time you'll see them using a midi controller.
