I have recently made a skin 3840X1024 for 3 touchscreens. I have made 2 rotated plates for my decks (340X340 pixels). The skin works perfectly but i mentioned a huge cpu usage around 70-75%.The rotations plates were moving in steps.
My PC is quite strong DualCore, 3Gb Ram and 2 Nvidia GT9500 1Gb each). I tried to make a few tweakings but no result.
So i modified my skin and reduced the rotated plates to 120X120 (pixels). Quess what. Tha cpu usage dropped to 20% !!!!!!!
Even when i play videos the cpu goes now to 30% at most.
So my conclusion is this.
Large Rotations in a skin eat more cpu than anything else, even videos.
The cpu does all the job. Video card does not actually helps.
Is this normal?
