I have a Denon DNS1000 and Numark DXM06 mixer. I just need one more CD deck. I will be running it through the laptop on Virtual DJ
I dont want to spend more than around £130 on the deck.

how responsive is it? is there any delay between hitting the cue button and the song playing?

Dont know. You said cheap. its cheap. But im sure tha denon is better. it has touch sensitive platter. i dont think the numark does. therefore, no back spin. I had those 1000s and sent them back. they are good. i scratch alot. they couldn't handle my heavy hand. the next would be the axis by numark. i've played with them. they were pretty responsive and econo.

The Axis-9 got some good feedbacks here

Denon S1200.

I'd definitely second the Denon DN-S1200. I use 2 of them with VDJ 6.02 and haven't run into much of any issue.

Anyone know if the Denon DNS1000 work well with VDJ? Also, what about Numark Axis 9?

I've had the 1000s. i think i was having a timecode problem. they were really weird. kinda jumpy. the reason i sent them back because they could not handle my hand and the jumpy timecode. i later found out that if this problem occurs, you should unplug ur sound card and restart VDJ. that helps allot. i never got a chance to try that with the 1000s. hope this helps.

do you do a lot of scratching?
i dont scratch at all, so would that be better for me?

On behalf of my timecode prob no. on the account that i figured my problem yes. like i said, i sent them back before i discovered this solution. So i guess im neutral. overall they are good. get your interface(soundcard) and test it. that will tell it all. if i had one i would use it. grab another and go for what you know.
