Put your cursor all the way to the right, that play liist will show. At the bottom of the play list box there's a small button (left of the square) Click on that button, it lights up and locks the play list box from going away every time you go off the box. This also works on the left side menu box as well. hope this helps!!

where are you typing in the search field box at the main center brewser?
Try this please;
go to the right window (Automix) at the bottom left corner of the automix brewser there is an icon of a lock
click on this to lock window in the open position.
1. Search for song files from the center brewser search box.
2. Start adding you're selections from the center window into automix window.
3. When completed save the new playlist
4. Click on the lock icon again to open it.
5. This should do it.
Good Luck

You save the playlist by clicking on the bottom top-left icon in the automix window, i.e. the 3rd right-most window. This will give you a menu of options. Select Save (last menu option, I think), and you'll get a pop-up window asking you to specify a name for your playlist.
To re-select this saved playlist, go to the left-hand (Folders) window and expand Playlists. You should see your saved playlist(s) here. Selecting it will populate your centre selection window with your track list. You can then drag them to a deck ot drag them to you Automix (right-most, 3rd) window, if you want to automix them.
For the record, clicking on a lock/unlock icon only determines whether that particular window auto-collapses or not - Locked means the window will remain open after the cursor/focus moves off that window, unlocked mean the window will auto-collapse once focus moves away from it ;-)

You are correct

So what's the problem?????
I think the explaination on you're post was that you was having a problem making a playlist?
Joey....

Think I know what you are talking about. After you save the playlist, if you try and drag and drop another file to the playlist, it disappears and starts a new playlist. What you have to do after saving, is use the search field to find the next song for the playlist, then add that and it wont disappear from there - never figured out why but I agree it is a pain.

not the right answers..........WHEN I DRAG THE SONG TO THE RIGHT, AND GO TO GET ANOTHER SONG BY TYPING THE NAME OF THE SONG, THE SONG TO THE RIGHT DISAPPEARS ......B4 I GET THE CHANCE TO ADD MORE OR EVEN SAVE...WHY...

No problem here! I wasn't the one with the playlist problem :-). I was simply making a more explicit follow-up post to your explanation to marlonb, who was having the playlist problem ;-)

Did you check you setting in Config/Options/Autoload Playlist ? Is this set to Always or Smart? If so, your automix playlist is probably getting cleared to be overwritten by your new searches & selections...
Posté Thu 17 Sep 09 @ 3:44 pm
Isn't smart suppose to be a type of transition between songs?
Joey...
Joey...
Posté Thu 17 Sep 09 @ 4:47 pm
Think you might be getting mixed-up with the Automix Type - that's a setting in the Automix Playlist Management options, which governs automix transitions. I'm talking about an option in the Config settings that determines how playlists are loaded... ;-)

Hey yo just keep it simple
1st thing you should do go to the folder where the music is
2. Lef t click the song and while holding the left click on the mouse drop it on the right side
3. Just keep doing it unitl it fills up
4. I had the same happened that I solved it afterwards just save the playlist
" SAVING THE PLAYLIST IS KEY"

Just to be sure: GO to CONFIG > OPTIONS > Then at [AutoLoad Playlist] put it on [Disabled]
Then the playlist wil stay on screen.
Cheers

Thats exactly the solution i was about to type..
"Smart" is not as bad as "always" but it can still happen..
the only way to guarantee the list will stay is too set it to disabled..
