Sujet: Video Mix Problem

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hello all,

Just downloaded VDJ 6.0.2 - I am useing VirtualDJ6 Pro (widescreen) skin. The problem I am having is useing the video cross fader (in video mode) to change video and sound onto the opposite deck. The video changes but the sound does not. If I go to the crossfader (in the mixer mode) the sound changes to the other deck along with the video. Is there a setting where I can stay on the video mode and swith the sound and video with the crossfader? Thanks for the help.

In VDJ video options, choose link video crossfader to audio crossfader ;)

That did sound like the most logical advice. I tried that before I first posted and it didn't work. It would only make a diference on the mixing mode not the video mode.

Click on the Link icon to Link the crossfaders.
Then click on the Croosfader Text to toggle between Video and Audio Crossfader. Choose what you like.
Note. If you use Video crossfader you actualy dont move the Audio crossfader but if you move the Audio Crossfader the Video crossfader moves too. So it's better to choose Audio crossfader.

Thanks DjDad!!! That was it. I knew to lock them together but didn't know you could toggle between the 2 by clicking the words. Thanks again.

Yes,DJ Dad. Thank you very much. I was having the same problem. However, I'd like to say that Atomix could do a better job at explaining these things in the user manual. This is what the manual explains regarding the matter:

Video crossfader linked to Audio crossfader –This option allows VirtualDJ to link to the audio crossfader for controlling video crossfades. If unlinked (unchecked) the video crossfade can be controlled using the video crossfader on the Video panel.

With all due respect, that is a terribly insufficient and confusing explanation. DJ Dad thank you for using a picture and making it easy to understand. I'm very excited about purchasing this software. Sorry, I don't mean to be a jerk. If I missed the instructions in an other part of the manual, then I should eat my shoes. Cheers.

Yes, some things may not be as clear as they should. But then again, that's why we have a forum. You can probably get an answer quicker here, than looking through the manual, if you can find it.
