This is really weird, I'm using a new laptop with 512 RAM and when I load a new song in, sometimes it will pause....
I've gone through the skipping solutions and to not of much help - was wondering if anyone else was having same problem? - and if so, how they may have fixed it?

Check your "max load" option.
(loaded tracks are stored uncompressed in memory and with big files you have to use your swap so you can select the max size you want to load. Bigger files are not displayed completely)

If you haven't scanned your files it will do nothing until the track is fully loaded into ram.
You can see the blue bar on the player as it loads.
This load time is greatly reduced once the files have been scanned.
Set your max load to always.

Ok, I've put it to Always and so far the problem has occurred, but I'm wondering why this option would have anything to do with when I load IN the song.. sorry just a bit of a pleb....
