Sujet: Hercule MK2 Major HISS sound (static) on speakers

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hey guys,

Sorry if this is an old question but I did some research on these forums and I am not sure what to do exactly . . .

Last month I purchased a Hercules MK2 DJ Console that came with a free VDJ software. I was always doing my mixes on a set of really cheap Logitec speakers on my desktop PC. The other night we threw a party and I rented a SINGLE Yorkville elite E10P speaker and connected it to my DJ Console. I did manage to merge the two RCA cables into a 1/4" plug to get stereo out of the speaker and it worked. The only problem I had was MAJOR HISSSSS sound (static) coming out of the speaker. When the tracks had enough base it would overpower the static but once the kick would leave the track it was pretty horrible (lucky everyone was too drunk to notice) but I noticed and I could not stand it.

I have updated my firmware and my VDJ to the latest versions and I even downloaded the latest ASIO drivers as seen on another post but I am still having the static. The only thing I have not tried is to use a GROUND LOOP ISOLATOR ADAPTER . . . do you think this will resolve my issue?

Also, when I do the firmware upgrade on my MK2 it tells me to:

"Please reconnect the USB cable to your Hercules DJ Console MK2 while at the same time pressing and holding down the LEFT 1, 2 and 3 buttons on your DJ Console MK2. WARNING: You must keep all 3 buttons pressed down until this window disappears and a new window opens."

I held the buttons down for 10 minutes and nothing happened (aside from my fingers hurting like crazy) anyone having this issue? Anyone know a solution?

Thanks so much people, I have another jam on Saturday and would love to have this working properly!

Cheers!

Have you tried top rais to maximum volume on you PC?

Shoulda responded to this ages ago myself. I used a ground loop isolator RCA and no hiss ($15 in local electronics store).
