Recently I got a copy of Virtual DJ and have been messing around with it for a few weeks. About an hour ago I dropped by a guitar center to pick up some control vinyl to see if it would work with my turntable. Now, this turntable isn't exactly the best quality, in fact it's about the low of the low. The model is the Ion USB Turntable, iT TUSB05. The Control Vinyl is Serato Scratch Live Vinyl. I am just wondering if anybody knows a way to get this to work with VDJ. I have the Mac 5.2 version.

in order to use software & Turntables you need a soundcard such as MAYA44. You then need to use RCA cables to make this work, usb from turntables will not work, your setup will look something like this....
USING A MAYA44 SOUNDCARD

USING HERCULES RMX

i recomend the Hercules RMX as is will work as a Mixer and a soundcard, this is the setup im using right now... if you have more questions you can PM me...

Ah alright, thanks. I just thought I would try working with what I have before saving/spending a bunch of money.

Is that lappy an HP dv6000 series? If so, I have the same series, but video only works marginally well for me. Is it something you are able to do for long periods of time with decent results? I have trouble often with the output screen freezing on occasion, and sometimes freezing the entire program.
