OK, What is the best way to connect a laptop to projector for the best quality video? My laptop has VGA and HDMI outputs and the projector is 100 ft. away. The club owner purchased a 100 ft. HDMI cable upon my recommendation, since my belief was it is your best quality, and that is the way I hook it up at home. Once I connected it, I got nothing but a flickering of screens. It seemed that my laptop would recognize it, then un-recognize it, and the projector says no source found. My Catalyst Control Center for my display even recognized the make and model of the projector. But it just kept flickering...I have learned recently that running HDMI 100 ft. you lose quality, and have determined that to be the problem. I have heard of a signal enhancer/booster for such long HDMI runs. So my questions are...
Since I already have the 100 ft HDMI cable (and the owner cannot return) should she get a signal enhancer to compliment the already installed HDMI cable? And what is your opinion of this one? http://www.mycablemart.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=474
OR
Should she chalk up the HDMI cable as a loss and go with a 100 ft. Vga Connection?
OR
Is there another option for me? What about this product? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CMAW20
The owner wants the best quality so any suggestions???
Thanks for your imput!!!

Full DV out from your video card is the very best if your projector has a DV input, otherwise VGA is the best way as it is the native computer output with no conversions required. Remember you videos are only 720x480 resolution at best (and usually 640x480) so any output above that is really wasted.

My laptop has an S-Video & that is what I use, which we run through an RF converter, then split to the TV's in the clubs with Coax. Great pics on all sets that way. That is why I returned the "Beast" as the new lappy's have taken out the S-video.
Some of our Karaoke machines only have VGA & we use those to 21" external monitors.
