Sujet: My apologies to NLU's (Reply)

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

It's ok. It just that people tend to judge NLUs sometimes.. don't get me wrong. I don't think you look at us as stupid people but, there is still that type of prejudice between NLUs and Proffesional Users.

Even though I am an NLU, I have the knowledge of VDJ of an experienced user. I have created a skin, mapped LEDs/controllers, and created plugins. Watch out for my turntablist skin BTW!

At the end of the day, we are all DJs right? So lets treat each other like we would like to be treated right? lol

NLU (no licence users), are of course welcome here ;)

And many NLU users contribute as skin makers, plugin makers etc, and of course to the general content and discussions at the forum.

And NLU users are all potential customers, and should be treated with respect, and be helped.

If a NLU user have a problem with the program, and get no help, he will of course never buy the software ;)

And we hope most of the NLU's over time will support the development of VDJ, buy buying their own license down the line.
Its after all a very generous license, where you only pay one time, and all upgrades later are given free, as well as access to all extras at the site ;)

I was once someone who would not give NLU's the time of day. Until i looked it at from another point of view.

I will try to help NLU wherever i can.

The only time i get frustrated is when NLU's openly admit (or brag) about using cracked copies of VDJ, as if they are trying to rub it in our faces. Granted i have not seen that of late - but i have seen it in the past.

This is a community and we should all try and keep it that way.

exactly ;)

And every NLU is a potential customer, and more likely to be a customer, if he feels welcomed, helped and at home here.
Even though a few might choose to never do so, we hope most will, specially since we offer such a generous license with free upgrades.

Its a one time cost, and one never have to take a chance on a crack with potential viruses or bad code again, or getting in trouble since its now allowed for ISP's to monitor illegal downloading.

The benefits of buying a legal license are many.

please let the german board members know your politics atomix. its quite rude there sometimes, especially the vip´s. thanks

Blame the sin, not the sinner...

Guys, I don't give support on cracked versions but maybe sometimes do... It is the way a user asked for help and also I don't answer as I answer a legal licensed user. But I give respect (even if I choose don't answer) so that's all we are saying. As a community some rules and common ways to treat each other is a way to keep things clear and clean...

And check please, you will notice that as a Pro user you got wide more options than been a NLU. Many of them just don't really know what are they missing, and I think a way to support them is telling why we think been a Pro user is good for them as it was for us.

;-)

The company obviously make enough money from registered users, it's only when sales drop and it's obvious that most people are using crack versions they will do something about it.

Sales don't drop ... because it's the crack users that do eventually buy the program. So, even though we do not condone nor encourage piracy ... we are a 10 yr example for the record industry that if you just leave the pirates alone you will eventually make some money off of them because of the goods you provide.

Can't argue with that logic. With more and more server based features coming along it will make a bigger divide between the crack copies and what the registered ones can do.

so how can you tell a crack from license user..other than the non licensed tag on the name?
