Again, I'm new with the software, and I'm trying to get some answers to a few questions. Is there a way to search the entire hard drive for songs? And what's the best way to search for songs? Thanks.

Hi Dodie,
Since you are a new user, have you taken time out to read the VDJ manual fully?
Pages 10 - 12 explain how the search function works and can be found here: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/PDFManuals.html

I've printed and read the manual, but the problem I'm having is the software isn't seeing the entire library when I search. I've gone into the "Config" and had it check, fix and clean the data base, but that didn't seem to change anything. Any help?

Hi. Maybe you have to add files to search DB. You can do it this way: on the browser, folder browser, you rightclick on the drive containing the mp3, than add to search DB

And you make sure in config/browser the search database option is set to \\\\\\\"add automatically\\\\\\\"

than make sure you have set in view_option \\\"show music\\\" \\\"show video\\\" \\\"show karaoke\\\"

Now you do a search :)

Right now it seems everything's fine. I've done some searches and have been able to find the songs. Thanks a bunch.
