Sujet: mini laptop suggestions

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I want to see about a mini/netbook which will be used
only for music (backup)
Have a couple in mind.

Asus - Eee PC Netbook with Intel® Atom™ Processor
Model: 1005HAB-RRED001X
1GB DDR2 memory 160GB hard drive

HP Mini 110 1.6GHZ 2 GB Ram

Will these work for just music?
Any other suggestions please

I I using a MSI U100 OverClocked and it works Good
1.9 GHZ , I also upgraded the ram to 2 gigs.

I've tried VirtualDJ (mp3 only) on my girlfriends Advent 4211c Netbook, but don't tell her, lol

Processor: Intel Atom N270Processor
Processor Power: (1.6GHz, 533MHz FSB,)
Cache Memory: 512MB cache
Operating System: Windows(R) XP Home
Memory & storage: 1GB Memory & 120GB HDD
Screen: 10″ Widescreen Display

Playing with timecodes and loading files sometimes took the CPU usage up to about 65%, with my RMX it was slightly less, but normally playing it fluctuated around 15%.

I was quite impressed with the little thing.

Samsung NC10 or NC 20 are brilliant. Been using the NC20 in my club with the DN-HC4500 controller for months and it's faultless.

Asus has a new netbook coming out with a dual core atom processor and a new graphics card that supports HD video. My daughters Asus netbook supports VDJ for music, but video can sometimes be jerky. Keep an eye out for these new netbooks.

So am I to assume the ones I have listed will not work

The Asus 1005 will run VDJ just fine for music only.
