I have another screen im trying to use full screen but keeps popping up on my main screen when i put to full screen.. using latest version.. hardware im using is xfx 4890 gfx card any clues how to fix this? oh one other thing know of any skins that support 1920x1080 i found one but description lies and i really want 1080p :D thanks a bunch

Your video card must support dual monitors. Your second monitor must be connected before you boot your computer. After you open VDJ, go to config>video> select activate, in the pull-down select your video card and OK. Your video should now be seen on your second monitor.

lol my computer supports 6 montiors :P it shows under those setting my 4890 and window but that doesnt work

Can you describe exactly what your trying to do? I'm probably being a dunce.. but i cant figure out if you want the VDJ (browser) on two screens or if you want the video output on two screens?
and when you say 'two screens'.. do you want the left half on one screen, and the right half on the other screen? or do you want just a copy of one screen repeated on the second screen?
Are you just using the one video card?
Are you also planning on playing videos fullscreen?

Do you have dual monitor selected in the Windows display menu, something about extend blah, blah, blah? Does your mouse cursor go over to that display? When you select your video card in that pull down, what happens?

ahh ok my desktop is extended i want the player to full screen on the 2nd display yes not the one with task bar thanks :) and yes my mouse goes to the other screen :D i can full screen movies on other screen np with mpc but just not with vdj it reverts back to main screen when i put in full screen mode

Now we understand you have sucessfully connected two monitors and have windows desktop extend to both.
Normally virtualdj is intented to be used on the primary screen and IF you play a video in the VDJ and set the VDJ not to play in the small window but on the "second" monitor in the settings, it plays fullscreen on the secondary monitor.
If I undrestood you correctly you want to just have virtual dj main screen on you whole secondary monitor, this is possible but you need to use skin that is full hd and DON'T use the fullscreen option, just move the VDJ window to the second monitor so it will exactly cover the whole screen.

This may or may not help.
plug in second monitor and if your using vista make sure it is identified in display options from personalize -> display options XP its in display properties.
now if you want to have VDJ on the second screen and the video on your primary, in display options /properties select the screen you want to show VDJ on and check the this is my main monitor box press ok. your task bar should now be on that screen and all programs should launch to that monitor first.
if it is fire up VDJ and goto config -> video where it says tv output use the drop down to select the screen for video (you may have to play a bit if you can output a lot of monitors )press ok and try playing a video it should play on a different screen to vdj. if not try a different option from drop down.
hope that helps or at least gets you going in the right direction

been watching this and i'm confused (easily) why do you want your browser showing on second screen, when normally second screen(output) is used for displaying videos etc.

lol ok i think were close to my solution
i want the dj program to work in 2nd lcd when i press maximize it goes to main i dont want that i want it to be on second lcd and as for my os im using windows 7 64bit

cause im gonna be streaming this live on a website and i need to be able to surf while playing and no i dont want to surf on 2nd lcd it just doesn't work for me...

Do as described in the above post. Don't find a skin for this, just go to config>skin and check out the resolution. Then, go to start>control panel>Appearance and Personalization>Display>Adjust Resolution(middle left corner). Adjust as necessary to fit the resolution of your skin. I have the same setup as you, and I hear you!

I have a mac book pro with Virtual DJ Pro "Basic"; for video i have HDMI cable to my samsung 63" wall mounted TV, the audio is via USB to numark/Mackie Pro FX8 Mixing Board..In the Mac I have extended screen utilized in display settings, so I could drag windows in and out. My problem is expanding the video window to play solely on my TV screen and everything else on my Mac Book Pro. When I go to config, the Samsung TV is listed (i suppose i get a 10min trial), but when I choose it, it expands on my MacBook and I cannot drag to my TV monitor...I have a party in my basement in a couple of weeks and want to nail down this feature ASAP...Can somebody help??

I don't do Mac, but if you drag the small window to the TV, and then double click the window does it expand?

Thanks for the response: No i tried everything...I may have to upgrade, but on the 10 minute trial, the video window only expanded on my mac, could not drag it over to the expanded wall TV....

If you are using VirtualDj 7 (since you mention PRO "Basic") then it won't work.
You should download and try to use VirtualDj 8

Hi all im trying to set up for karaoke on a second monitor. i've managed to get the the screen to spilt but the computer will not reconise the second monitor in the tv output pull down. And advise would be helpful im using a acer laptop, and acer led monitor. On windows 10. Vdj 7 full licence.
