I had a folder titled "Rock" and a while back I renamed it "Rock & Blues". I'm finding files listed in DB searches that don't load... because the path calls for the "Rock" folder.
My question: is there a way to restore all the files lost in the rename? If I rename back to "Rock", will I regain the original files; what about the files that are under the "Rock & Blues" folder.
I'm soooo confused... can anybody help?
Thanks,
Jay

The VirtualDJ database stores the path to each file, so if you change it (E.g: Rename Rock to Rock & Blues) it will no-longer be able to find the files unless you add them to the database again (In which case they will show up as new files.)
If you rename the folder back, everything should be OK.
If you originally had a Rock & Blues folder and merged its contents with those in Rock (So all appeared under one folder named Rock & Blues in the SAME location), then you would have to add the files to database again.

Even more simple... anytime you make any changes to folders just right click on the main folder all your subfolders are in and choose 'add to database'.
