Is there a way to create/import a "sample" outside of recording it within the sampler tab? Also, please tell me I can use more than just 12?

Thanks as always =)

You can load one from disk by clicking on the small bullet button at the top of the sample slot and choosing Load.

There are 12 slots allowing 12 to be loaded at any one time, but you can change them at any time by loading as above.

Thanks for the partial answer =)

How would I be able to create one outside of VDJ or is it even possible?

Perhaps rename an mp3 to .vdj?

go to the sampler tab and click on the "bullseye" icon on the right in any channel you want. Then click load and select any audio you're wanting to create as a sample. Once it's loaded, click on the "bullseye" and then choose save. Name it as you wish and it's now a sample.

Hope that helps.

you can make unlimited samples. you can load the samples to turn tables then play it and click on the record , then save it . You can also go to sites and get wavs and load them into a file folder. then load them. save them in the sample file then you can load them any time you want . I think I have 980 of them.

Hi all, I also have been trying to add samples to use within my mixes, I have tryed following the info that you have placed above to add the samples i have but when clicking the bulleye i only get the options as followed: (Loop) (AutoPlay) (Write Protected) and no option to load or save a sample. I have also however added them to the sampler folder with no effect.

Sorry, the DJ Console Edition is FREE limited software and does not allow samples to be loaded or saved.

To be able to do this, and much, much more you will need to upgrade to VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - If you enter your DJ Console Edition serial number in the box provided, you will receive a discount.

why not just make a wave file with all you samples then convert it to an mp3 in audacity or something. load it into a deck like a record and you can flick through them and scratch them however you want..add effects too.
