Sujet: annoying shejay's .....aaarrggghh

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

not sure if its just me or have any of you guys ever discovered your neighbour is into deejaying???

well i discovered this like a month or 2 ago...my missus was talking to the new neighbours and found out that the girl next door is into deejaying..

ok so fair doo's thats a good thing..or is it???

well ever since my missus struck up the convo and the point arose that i too deejayed...the shejay next door has kind of made it a point to try and show off her mixing skills (or rather lack of) and play her shit loud enough for all to hear..

this girl cant even beat match and is getting progressivley worse.. its so bad to be truthfull i have often tought of barging in, backspinning her vinyal, dropping a fat beat and hitting her with her headphones untill she realises beat mixing relies on beat counting..not dropping in a new track at any random point..

now i know there are a lot of shejays around and a lot of great ones at that.. but seriousley if this girl wants to djay, then in my oppinion i realy think she should research some more or at least turn down her amp till she can produce a decent set...

sorry if im ranting here but hey its soooooo annoying.. i would feel bad telling her to turn it down because her mixing sucks..

I don't think the gender matters personally; you get blokes who can't mix for toffee either despite them thinking they are godlike...

be the good guy, go show her how it's done,

Agree, you know what to do!

i was thinkin the same thing...that may be a sign that she needs the help not that she bragging or showing off ..it prob a silent cry for help...think of it this way go over and say hey lets jam..and when you drop some skill she may ask how you do it..and bam the door is opened for you to drop the knowledge...

yeah thats true guys, though im not sure the missus would approve.. my missus is a bit fragile when im around other females...not sure how she would react if i went and started spending time with the girl next door.. though it would be good to share what knowlege i have..plus theres always something she may know that i dont...maybe...

so bring the other girl over to your house so you can be chaperoned and so we dont have to all type in ridiculous "threesome" jokes, give her some lessons, ask her to turn the volume down politely, and tell her to have a nice day.

Hmmm......? Wondering if once anyone thought the same of you. "Pay it forward". LOL!

I'd say there's a VERY GOOD chance she may know a lot of things you don't, just a wild guess on my part.

doesen't matter if she's a man or woman, if someone sucks you should tell them what they are
doing wrong, if you are any good yourself. you might be overbooked one day, then you have
a dj right next door.

If had a neighbor that was interested in DJ iing, ill show them what i know. I gave classes before and ill do it again. If you want to rock the house.. Give me a holla

I'm usually reluctant to teach anybody, usually what happens is they get alright at it and end up throwing it back in your face.

But invite your neighbours for coffee or something and have a blast on the decks, offer some tips...

sounds like a good idea..could do with someone to work with. its o much more fun when you can discuss hwere things are going wrong..think ill give them a knock later and see whet they up to.

I think you're forgetting that we all sucked at one point. VDJ users skip a major part of the learning curve of djing by having the sync button. I think it's great that a girl wants to dj, teach her how to be better!

How would it feel to you when your past students told others that they were inspired to dj because of you ?... It would feel great right ? This is why i like to teach..
