Sujet Numark ndx200 with virtual dj

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

If i hook this up with the maya44 and an external mixer can i scratch with the ndx200 even though it does not have a scratch feature?

im looking from moving from software controllers to using timecode,s but i was wondering if i get a cd player that has the jogwheels and all but does not have a scratch feature would i still be able to scratch with it using virtual dj?

this makes the difference between me spending all the money to go from trial to buying virtual dj so please help if you can.

If the CD player does not have scratch capability, then no you will not be able to scratch with it.

With timecode, you get exactly the same capabilities that you would have when mixing CD's, i.e: If the CD player only has frame cueing (Stutter), then that is all you will have when you use timecode. Timecode cannot magically turn a non-scratch capable CD player into a scratch capable player.

okay, lets say i get one with scratch, does it need to have effects to to use the virtual dj effects or can i use those regardless?

The cd player does not need to have effects. all sound effects, loops etc will all still work in vdj software when using timecodes

Effects built into the CD player itself cannot be used with VirtualDJ because they will affect the timecode signal, making VirtualDJ unable to read it correctly.

You must use the effects built into VirtualDJ itself, which you can trigger either using your mouse, keyboard shortcuts or mapped to a MIDI controller (You can use a MIDI controller at the same time as timecode.)
