Sujet: 6.03 Getting "Video Error" with Certain Vob/Mpeg

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I "up-dated" my gig machine to 6.03 (from 5.2) And now it appears that it wasn't a good idea at all.

Many of my store bought dvd files will not play in 6.03. Get a message saying "impossible to open file"
But my Promo Only files seem to be working fine....

I either need some help with this, Or i would need to put 5.2 back on my machine by Thursday?

Any fixes for this problem??

What is the difference between your promo only files codecs and your other dvd video codecs? Promo Only distributes their files in VOB Mpeg2 and Mp4 format. Which format do you get them in?

I'm having the same problem with version 6.05. The files that won't play and display the "Impossible to open" message are all Mpg. AVI, VOB and MP4 all work....I have a ton of video in MPG format from Screenplay that will no longer load. This is not a good thing. I opened a support ticket but haven't heard back yet.

If i rollback to 6.03, they work, but the other issue is my Numark NS7 will not if roll back!

All of those formats play just fine with VDJ 6.05. I have had no problems. Try cleaning and fixing your database. You may be trying to load in album cover files which have the same name as your video files. I would try removing all files from your data base and then re-adding them. then clean and fix your data base.

Hope this helps.

see my post in "general". this is kinda double posting

Sorry about the double post....

How does one "clean and fix" the database??

I have both VOB MPEG2 And Mp4 All of which seem to be working fine.

They are all ripped with DVD Decryptor.
Also i tried the "clean & Fix" thing with the database...Does not help.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

I reinstalled 5.2 and guess what?? Everything works as should!!

V.6 can wait for a while. I'm sticking with what works for me.

that's not really solving the problem.

Can someone from Virtual DJ PLEASE respond to this post or the other one...let alone my support ticket??? Please?

Help. I don't want to roll back to 6.0.2.

Change video codec to windows media player

Any new news about this? It worked for a few versions with Windows Media Video Decoder, I think to 6.07, then stopped in 6.08 and 6.1. VirtualDJ just crashes

If needed I can send a sample video that wont play.

thanks,
David
