Sujet: Where do i get music videos

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hey guys is there a specific site for buying high quality music videos (with high quality audio attached to them aswell for playback through LOUD soundsystems) i ask because i dont want to buy loads from some random site and find out theyre not the quality i need them to be (like buying a 128kbps mp3 from some mp3 site when i need 320 if you get where im coming from) some guy told me once to just download them from youtube but i buy all my tracks and dont want to rip them off and also the audio on those videos is usually terrible so yeah i was wondering if theres like a specific site like beatport or some sort of pool you can get them from, cheers =)

Promo only.

Also Top Hits USA....Just drop and drag mpeg4...good stuff!!

www.promoonly.com
www.screenplayvj.com
www.8thwonderpromoos.com
you can also try itunes but u have to use the itunes video unpacker tool

For some reason I find the sound on the Videos is not as good as a good quality mp3. The volume is usually very low (or int he case of Promo ONly sometimes so oversaturated). I guess maybe they just don't take the time to master the audio properly. Screenplay has vastly improved ove rthe last couple years but boy was their early stuff HORRIBLE....and some of the ETV stuff was so low it almost didn't exist.

What A itunes video unpacker tool ?

You DO NOT need to use the ITunes video repacker in VDJ 6.XX and above as long as the videos are ITunes PLUS videos!!!

Yep, I purchased 34 vid from iTunes 2 weeks ago and didn't do anything, but press play in VDJ 6.5 Good quality.

DTVideos is doing things pretty well, they changed a lot since they started two months ago, really heard their customers!

Interesting, I didn't know about a few of these!

I get a lot of stuff off itunes for original versions. I checked the audio and it's the same quality as when you buy the audio only version.

Most music videos aren't mastered for loud systems but for TV's, believe it or not but a lot of the largest record labels don't acknowledge the new "VJ" market, and don't consider music videos as "tools" for VJ's in the slightest, but JUST mass marketing tools to sell singles/albums. Buying music videos, for the masses is something relatively new with the emergence of itunes but massively offset by the prescense of youtube, which again puts the value of the video in its "view count" rather than direct sales.

Whether the video itself is cheap, cheesy, full of product placements, expensive or a cinemagraphic masterpiece this still holds true. I personally consider a music video to be worth the same as a TV commercial, the more the target market sees the video the larger the return.

Creating "official" DJ/VJ friendly videos is not something most labels are likely to engage in, however some are willing to support "editing" services in achieving this, although most services are not currently 100% label backed, and if they are carry limitations which restricts the usability of the service, this is the current situation of course, things are changing but not as quickly as any VJ would like.
