Sujet: Trying to pick out a controller

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

So many to choose from. some are native some are not. some get bad reviews some don't.

VERY new dj.
i was looking at the DJ Control MP3 e2 but saw in a review how small it is and how the jog wheels don't work well. BUT i like that it is ready for VDJ and that it comes with VDJ. i have VDJPRO but it is a cracked verson and would like to get DJ Control MP3 e2 and upgrade to pro.( i know it is not much how much is it?)

BUT i found the

BCD3000 which is not much more. but not native and does not come with VDJ for me to upgrade and i have read some reviews that it does not map out right and does not sound good. but most of these reviews were older. so i hope you guys can help me pick out a controller.

do i really need PRO?
i really only want to get to the point to DJ house partys for fun. just mix tracks use some loops. nothing crazy at least for a while. but i dont want to leave my slef stuck. if i do get the hang of this kinda fast i dont want to be upgrading in a month

Look at the Hercules RMX, comes with VirtualDJ Limited Edition, should do most everything with audio that you will need as you develop your skills. I use the older Hercules MKII and it does everything I need for small parties.
And when/if you're ready you can upgrade to VDJ Pro at a discount.

i aggree with above statement...i use it for small events,, and for the time code i use it with my turntables...its very versatile..

The RMX Has All An One 5*****and The DAC-3( W/Mapper) 5*****

ok lets see if i have this right. all the verson of VDJ have an X for MIDI / HID Controller Support BUT pro and they all have an X for External Audio Mixer but basic and pro. So after reading some post this is what i came up with. if i want to use any other Controller other than the one i got with the software i will need to upgrade to pro? Cause i am fine with getting the RMX i am sure it will do what i need. the only reason why i am asking is cause i want to use my discount on the VDJ Basic. Not pro i don't need video and i am not going to get turn tables for times codes. I know i am going to want to do more than what LE provides. but don't need pro.

Sorry, there is no discount of Basic - It is already heavily discounted due to being intended for mouse/keyboard use only.

The RMX will give you a discount of 50% off the full price of VirtualDJ Pro, so for not much more than what it would cost to purchase Basic, you can have the full Pro product with full support for all controllers and the ability to use it stand-alone (Mouse/keyboard only) too if you wish.

Basic would also be no good to you if you wanted to use it with the RMX because it does not support any external controllers.

So the RMX and pro is the way to go?

what about the BCD2000 and 3000. they are so much cheaper and i just dont know if i need to drop 350 on controller yet.
Also the DJ Control MP3 e2 are just so much cheaper and i just starting. but if these don't work i mean i don't want to get them. Did any one get a BCD or MP#e2 and just had to return it? cause it did not work or fr what ever reason's

I just got the rmx today and it is real sweet. I do love the digital vinyl but most clubs you go into hate yo unplugging and replugging their equipment which is why i got the rmx. Go with the pro version of vdj too.

Check eBay. You can get a brand new RMX cheaper than the $350 MSRP ;)

I would recommend the RMX and upgrade to pro. you wont be disappointed ( IMHO). I use the RMX for just about every gig other then club show.

the hercules mk2 can do it all for onlly 199.00

You should avoid the BCD series - They have been very problematic for most users, especially the BCD2000

You also don't get VirtualDJ LE for free with them or the discount off upgrading to Pro.
