check the forums & archives as many of these units are 3-4 yrs old & already been covered in detail
The prices should also have been reduced
consider that some controllers require an external soundcard to enable you to mix & monitor or add a mic input, a good quality soundcard will also inflate the cost.
I recently commented on the ion discover in Dj smackdaddys thread.
............................................................................................................................
I have owned bcd2000, i cue & total control so i speak from experience.
I would avoid the bcd 2000 as i had many audio issues with it on a clean healthy pc
Total control & i cue are both Numark brands , the i cue is a simplified version of total control.
I cue has no midi mapping, or mods that i'm aware of. Its activated by the limited range of software which supports it.
I have a video link of the i cue in my profile.
Total control has midi mapping & more features, functions & shortcuts so you barely need to use the mouse.
The i cues jog wheel is more sensitive than total control for some strange reason.
Regardless........All of the above are unsuitable for serious accurate scratching, cutting & cueing, but are fine when performing other tasks.
If possiible try & audition the product.
vestax recently launched spin & typhoon controllers which have built in audio & mic input which may also be in your range. so be patient & try & predict where you will be in the future & get the best controller to suit as many controllers have limitations & a short shelf life.
