It's an external crash.

Have you use a video plugin?

I have several plugins but none are activated. I will try deleting all plugin dlls and see what happens.

Deleted all plugins from video effects and video transition folders, then reinstalled 6.0.5 to get factory plugins back. Still crashed.

Also tried running the video in a window instead of full screen. Still crashed.

What do you mean by an external crash?

Ok so it's linked to video drivers.

I have the latest drivers from nvidia. Any suggestions what I can do from here?

This may be an overheating issue. If I take the covers off, it runs ok. Also if I go back to Vista, it runs ok (but a lot slower). Is it possible that the video card would run that much hotter in XP than Vista?

I get this message too. I am also running XP with SP3. Two external video cards etc. etc. I'm noticing that this happens when the machine has been on for 3 hours plus. So I think your guess of overheating could have some traction. I think the more it happens, there is potential for more damage to your chipset and /or video drivers, which could cause it to happen either more frequently, or quicker. I don't know of a way to test and see if either of those are damaged, but would appreciate any suggestions.

To sympathize, I had a room of 1100 people with full video running, and the screen froze.. the music played out until the end of the song though. I swithced to my back up, and shut down the pc that crashed ( with this error in the dump - 4fed3a6b ) - I ran the back up for about 10 minutes... the "fallen" pc cooled off, started back up and ran great for the rest of the night.
