ok, so i've not got a new Laptop (dell- Latitude D630, dual-core and using XP Pro...) and its FAB.
However, when using my RMX with it, every now and again the sound freezes, only for a split second but its noticable. This happens on one "deck" if its only one playing but happens simultaniously if both are playing together.
I'm using the ASIO sound card installed on the RMX and nothing is tripping up the computer (in the background) as i only have VDJ, The RMX and AGV Free Anti-virus running on this Laptop.
The System usage meter tells me that the CPU is only running at about 14%max so shouldn't be a problem there either!!!
Any ideas? Any information will be very greatfully received, as i've got a 3hour set on UPFRONTDANCE.NET comming up on Wednesday!!!
Big Love to all.

BTW, I've just checked out the Tecnical support pages and they mention using the cconfig tab to adjust the latencies etc but my BasicVDJ doesn't have that feature....

seanna go to hercules, com make sure you download the newest drivers for your rmx .also while on there check out their tips for using djing on laptops some great tips they have also been covered on other topics here.i myself always turn off avg when using vdj.
also try changing in your performance tab latency to auto and uncheck safe mode.check the hardware section on vdj for settings.
also if your not using timecode i dont think you need to use asio.
settings...input none.
output...headphones
. soundcard...rmx(with low latency)
