Hello
I purchased and resgistered VDJ with a Hercules Controller....I wish not to use the controller any more. Id like to use VDJ with a mouse and keyboard. However, when I start the software it looks for the HErcules and shuts down when it does not find it. Do I have to purchase another version of VDJ with the Controller software? Thanks

just uninstall the rmx software, but i can't understand why your having that problem i'm afraid. don't forget to change your sound settings in config.

unfortunately there is a power issue with the hercules so Im not able to hook it up. ive uninstalled the mx software...but have no other software to reinstall....and the serial for the RMx software will probably not work with any other software.

sorry me dum, just re read your first post, i thought you were a full user, think you will have to purchase another version of vdj, you get a good deal upgrading from the hercules to vdj pro just now, but how long that will last i couldn't say.

Sorry to hear the Herc didn't work for you. Might need some confirmation, but I'm pretty sure the VDJ version that you've been using is made spefically to work with the Herc controller. You can't use it without plugging the unit in. Did you already try to get some help of this forum or the hercules site to troubleshoot? Alot of people here may be able to help you since Hercules controllers usually work pretty well with VDJ.
If you just want to use the keyboard and mouse, you'll have to buy the home version. Not a bad price at all, check the products page.
With time though, I'll bet you'll come to see that you'll need some sort of external controller in order to really push the potential of the program.
Good luck.

The free "VDJ LE" is connected to the controller..
so yes, to NOT use a controller you need to purchase another version.

your best bet is to go straight to the Pro version, and since you get a discount the price is pretty reasonable. (with the discount the price is just a tad more then the Basic version)

I believe its only $249 for the pro with the discount now. Basic - $99, Home - $49
Unless there is another way to unlock an upgrade discount?
