If i over-looked my bad, but can you do search for "genre" just as you can for artist or title while in vdj? if so how so?

On the left hand side there is a section, like your folders, labeled "Genre", if you select the "+" you can see all songs in that Genre.

my bad i know bout that, what i should have said, is was there a way to search in the search field by genre to do a multi genre search? some of my songs i change the genre on them and i dont remember what i put them under or i may double the genre ex rap/hip hop...gospel/religous and some of my filters wont bring back all of my songs so the search will bring back more

Ah, sorry.
If it makes you feel any better the next version of my software ("DJ Patterns", available under Downloads, Tools) will allow you to filter by one or more Genres. (yea, I know. That doesn't help you now)
Peace,
James

All you need to do is click the circle at the end of the search bar and tick "genre". From that point on anything you type in the search box will look in the genre field as well.
Searchable fields are:
Title
Artist
File path
File name
Comment
Album
Genre
Year
Key
BPM
Linked video
Composer
It's all in the VDJ manual, page 11

Hope to see "VERSION" added soon to the list, and can be filled in by the user like "COMMENT"

I use comments all the time. You can add them when tagging via whatever software you use;
or add them within VDJ.
or add them within VDJ.

Exclude "Genre Types" Option In The Browser Search View
Just like we have the option of excluding Video or Karaoke files from a search view, Would be nice to also have a feature to exclude certain Genre Types.
Example in my case I have a large sellection of Audio Karaoke backing tracks and are orginized by type and language, Karaoke;Latin, Karaoke;Hindi ect, there is no way to exclude a Genre type, and since I don't need these song all the time they just get in my way.
If this option was available then you wouldn't have to see or scroll through all the other stuff you don't need or create many folders to get what you need.
This feature would also enhance your delivery of selections, some type of option to be able to defind the type of Genre to Include or Exclude would be beneficial.
Thanks
