Anyone here ever use any of the wireless video transmitters to get to somew of your big screens instead of running wire?
I just bought a Grand Tec Ultimate for $114, BUT IT REALLY SUCKS DELUXE. Got it working in my living room at 5 ft. away, and still wasn't all that great. Moved upstairs about 10 feet away and got all kinds of flickering and interference. How can anything like this be of any use in a bar where interference signals will always exist to some point? Oh, and tried it in a vfw post last night, open area 25 feet away (it is rated to work well up to 300 ft.), and it was totally unuseable. I wasn't even trying to expect to get really clear quality videos, just wanted to use it for simple karaoke lines, but at least at a quality that could be readable, but it wasn't. Sheesh!
Has anyone had any really good or really decent transmissions with specific brand name wireless video transmitters? If so, whatya use?

Not sure I would ever trust wireless. People are great absorbers of radio frequencies so a full venue will just make things worse.
Then add to that the delay of the converting, transmission and converting again and you'll find the video trailing the audio very visibly.
These senders are great for the home where you transmit both audio & video and have little interference. However I tried one at home many years ago and gave up on it in a week. I know run coax to every room via an amplifier/controller and get flawless pictures in every room...
Cheers,
Roy

http://www.gefen.com/ I just got a HDMI splitter to run two flat screens from them... haven't hooked-up 2 screens yet, but the unit is top shelf, their product line-up speaks for itself.
The GefenTV Wireless for HDMI Extender sends 1080p to any HDTV display up to 100 feet (30m) away... $899.00

tried them in the past bryant same sort of thing, 300ft recommendations, great at the beginning of the night before the doors open, then those damn customers go interfere with the signal. mind the muppet that decided not to add a link to the control point from the dj box when installing the system or better still the dj box as the control point wants a kick up the proverbial.
