I downloaded virtual dj about a year ago. I think it is a great program, but I ran out of room on my boot disk hard drive, So I had and extra 70 gig hard drive from another computer and made it a secondard hard drive and tolk all my song and put them on the secondary hard drive which also helped speed up my boot disk drive. but as i load a song from the seconday hard drive its slow down any other song playing in the other deck not sure why it does this if anyone could help that would be great
Thanks,
Jim

Hello,
Are you using the latest VirtualDJ (version 6.0.7)?
There were alot of fixes and new features since last year's version.

Is this a laptop? What kind of files are these; mp3, videos? External drive? How is it connected; sata,,usb, firewire? How fast is the drive? How much ram? Has the drive been defragmented? There is also a tool available, but it's only for registered users.

Computer is a desktop, Pentium 4, 2.4GHz, 512Mb RAM.
Windows XP Home Version 2002, SP3.
Using mp3 audio files.
Disk drive is internal IDE Slave drive, not sure how fast.
Tried defrag - no change.

Yehhh Ram would help, But actually I tried one other thing I set the 2nd hard drive on the secondary IDE and my boot drive from the master IDE. Then just split off to the cd players and that seemed to solve the problem, anyway thanks for everyones help

if you contact support they might be able to help
your demo expired after 20 days .........
my guess is you need to eliminate unneeded processes running in the background and get more ram ......
