Sujet: Problem getting VDJ to detect my HC4500...please help asap

Hi all,

I am having an issue all of a sudden getting my Denon HC4500 detected by VJD. Windows sees it fine and it is listed in device manager. It is not listed under VJD's mappers even after you refresh. When you first start up VJD you can see the link light flash on and then off on the HC4500.

This is with VJD 6.07 pro (b222). It was happening with 6.5 and I just upgraded to see if it would fix it. I am using Vista.

Any help is appreciated since I have a gig tomorrow. Thanks.

Ok, I got it working. Even though I had cycled power to it several times I ended up having to take it out of the rack and manually turn the switch on and off while it was powered.

Something weird going on here...

I hope I don't have it go out on me at a party.

 
Check your USB cable to see if it's faulty. Possibly corrupt firmware in the HC4500? Or could it be vista just being vista. I've been using the 4500 from the day they shipped and after Denon got their firmware issues straight I never had issues. Make sure you have the latest firmware on the denon.
