Is that possible? When you have a 2.1 soundcard with 1 input and 1 output. It is possible to make the input work as a output so you use headphones and output?
I know they are cheap usb soundcards (3$), it is just because I dont want to carry more usb things, really.

Hello cotarelo,
No, you cannot turn an input into an output except if your sound card has specifically this setting (but you should give the complete reference (brand and model) of your computer) if you want someone to check it.
If you have only 1 stereo output, you can split your stereo output into 2 mono outputs with a stereo to 2 mono jack splitter, as http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=43086&C=SO&U=strat15 and use VirtualDJ setting "Mono separated" as sound card (in VirtualDJ > Config > Sound Setup) to play the mix on 1 output and the preview on the other output.
