Sujet: Choosing active deck

Hi, I just download the trial version, and its pretty hype... However, I am having trouble figuring out how to choose an 'active deck' for the sampler... How do I change the deck that the looped sample is synced to? Ie its synced to deck A and I want to sync it to deck B

I read the manual, but I couldn't find any mention of it...

Hi. When both decks are playing, the sampler syncronise with active deck (main out). Let's say that dec a is playing and crossfader is on left position so you can hear the song in the speakers. If you want the sampler to sync with deck b you have to move the crossfader to the right AND the deck b must be started. Just play two songs in both decks and play a sample, than move the crossfader and you will understand. I've assumed you use 2 sound cards and you have one soun card for the main mix and the other for listening in the headphones.
 
Hey thanks for your reply! Sorry I should have given you more information. I use Torq/mixvibes as well, so I am using conectiv as my sound card (4-in 4-out). Also I am using external control (mixvibes TCV seem to work well, except for some random jumps when backspinning using 'smart relative mode') and external mixer. I think that VDJ doesn't know the status of my crossfader when using an external mixer (right?).
 
Only if it's a MIDI capable mixer.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts to control the crossfader.
