hey guys just a quick question, i am looking to buy a pair of one of these cd players and am wondering which would be the better choice if i am going to use them with virtual dj.
Also how would i be able to use them with virtual dj, eg. what equipment is needed, cords, etc.
Thanks.

That would depend on your budget but personnally between those two choices I would go with the CDJ 1000 Mk3. Now there are other options above the MK3's like the CDJ 2000. Again up to your buget.
As for set up check these threads out:

There is a youtube link that I have to dig up that can help out as well.

Here is the other thread & as you can see the link to the youtube is not the greatest as pointed out to be general in principal but at least an idea on how to do it.

Hi,
Honestly, if those CDJ-800 and 1000 aren't very very cheap, don't buy it. Better go for CDJ-350, 400, or 900 (for the same price or less) and if you can, CDJ-2000. With those you don't need anything else but connect the USBs to the computer and will be used as sound cards as well as midi devices to control VirtualDJ from it.
If you already have CDJ-800 and 1000, then you can use them with VirtualDJ Pro with timecodes and a 4IN-4OUT sound card (Like Echo AudioFire 4, Hercules DJTrim 4&6),...)
The connections are explain in several blogs and also in some topics and post in here, but many of them are for VirtualDJ Pro registered users.
The CDJ-800 or CDJ-1000 connect the output to the soundcard inputs. Soundcard outputs goes to LINE IN mixer inputs. VirtualDJ is set to be use with timecodes, setup your timecodes, and then you are ready to go.
