Hi,
I have never received Windows XP blue screen of death with my DJ laptop until this weekend. I was not even running any videos during the gig - only MP3. I did not install anything new except 6.07 a month back. The Blue screen stops everything and restarts your laptop. I can not have this happen again. I will install the new version of 6.08.
The only thing i can think that is different is that I have saved the original Virtual DJ 5. and installed the 6.07 version in another file. Do you think that caused the problem?

This is not a Virtual Dj software problem.
Its a system problem of some sort.

Blue screens are generally a hardware failure of some sort. Most likely memory or heat related.

Same thing happened to my HP laptop. It was not VDJ, it was my memory. I had to replace the memory sticks. After that everything was fine again.

Thanks for the info. I doubt it was heat. i was indoors and I have a fan that blows underneath. Maybe dust inside the laptop

I had several blue screens caused by overheat....then I cleaned the fans of the laptop....that was the problem for me..DUST..NO MATTER OF THE COOLER UNDERNEATH

I found a layer of dust on the outside screen of the fans. I cleaned it off. I had 2 gigs and I did not get any shut downs. I hope it was as simple as cleaning the dust!
