Horible situation.
Packed dance floor and VDJ just disappears off screen, no warning, no smiley face, nothing, just GONE!!!
1st time ever this happened with my Laptop which has done 50 weddings and never a problem.
Any clue as to why this happened?
I was actually playing a Music Video when this happened.
Terrible!!

What VDJ version/OS are you using?
Is there anything in the crashgaurd report file (my documents/virtualdj/crashgaurd report.txt)?
(WinXP) Are there any errors in Windows Event Viewer (right-click my computer, click manage, click plus sign next to event viewer, click application)?
Was the computer unusually hot at the time?
Have you tried the video in another application?
Your answers will help to troubleshoot possible problems.

Version 6.0.4.
Nothing in crashguard report
Windows VISTA (I know, I know) I dont like VISTA that much.
Nothing about VDJ in the event viewer
I had the computer on top of a cooler, the room was air conditioned and there did not appear to be excessive heat coming from it?
It was a newly downloaded video from I-Tunes, I have played others before with no problems.
Also, I was using the computer HDMI out with a TV monitor, MAYA Soundcard connected, WD Portable hard drive connected with all my music on it. PDCJ DAC3 connected also. At times the scans were slow, I mean real slow, never seen thta before either. It seemed like the computer was overloaded. Here are my specs:
Dell XPS M1530
Core 2 Duo T9500 @ 2.6 GHZ
3 GIG RAM
VISTA 32 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM
I also ran a Latency Checker I got from here, iitially lot of red bars, I disabled many things in Device Manager and got the majority of the bars to green, some yellow. Seemed to improve my sound by not having the poping and hickups. I do that all the time now when I do gigs.
Thanks so much for your help, this is the first time this ever happened, very suprised!

We would strongly recommend that you upgrade for free to the latest version - There have been many changes to the software since v6.0.4 including bug fixes. You can download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

This may be caused by the SpeedLoad setting, which is a safe-guard when playing video to ensure that playback is not affected by the loading and analysing of another song. Try using the registry tool http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/2170/Registry_Tool.html to change this setting.

This means you have a performance issue with your computer - Wireless networking is the most common cause of latency problems (Try disabling this if you do not need it at your gig.)
