am I wrong, or does VDj gives you the key in which the song is recorded? Every time I go to a song info, it shows the key, and not up until a few minutes ago, did it hit me. Could it be that VDj recognizes the key of each track?
Can someone shed some light on this topic please.

We have had key detection since version 5.
And that is why you see it in the file info and there is a column for it in the browser area.

hehehehehehe and I never realized what it was until today. So I was shocked, because I've been trying to study the key notes for a while, and this comes in super freaking handy. One more reason why I love Virtual Dj.

as a side note you can also double click on the key and it will show you the numeric value (also a track list field and you can also search i.e 10A) so you can use the camelot wheels when mixing. truely awesome stuff

What I can't figure out for the life of me is why nearly every song's key is in a minor key. That is just not true or even accurate?-
