Sujet: My Timecode settings are wrong..help please.. - Page: 1

Cette partie de ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes

Hello,
I did buy Maya44 and now I've connected my CDJ100 to the soundcard and i've downloaded the Timecode file from this website.
I think something is wrong with the settings:
1. The cue button in my CDJ100 isnt really "cueing", its just "pausing"
Where may I find the best settings for Timecoes on VirtualDJ with CDJ100?

I read this...
Just tell me, Virtual Dj 6.0.5 + CDJ100 + Maya44 + Timecodes(downloaded from this website) may work PERFECTLY?

For the timecodes downloaded from this site, you have to use the second part (VDJ timecodes). :)

Also: first thing you should do is lower your "gain", it seems like it's wayyyy to high.

Ok, i fixed the signal, but i dont see any green cicle in the noisemap window..
Plus, my cue isnt totally working...I mean, if i try to cue in 00:00:50, i hit cue, and it will actually cue 00:00:52..why?

Your second problem is probably due to the lead time. In your timecode settings you can indicate how much time you leave between the start of the record and vdj's start. It's mostly useful for vinyl.

Can you give me another screenshot of what's wrong with the signal? :)

Alright, there is some news:
I tried the Serato Timecode CD today, and there's a signal (green circle),
but still, if click cue on a beat (00:00:01) it will still cue 00:00:03...WHY ?!

I told you: that's the lead time. By the way: what difference does it make it it's 2 hundreds of a second off? Without lead time it's probably fixed.

It makes a difference because I set cue point straight when the beat stars, and then I hit the cue button and it misses the beat.
The following picture shows the problem:

BTW, lead time is already set to 300ms

Which mode are you in? Rel, Smart or Abs?

Smart

Can you check if it also happens in Absolute mode? I know Smart mode had some cueing problems on my vinyl.

it doesnt change anything

Hmmmm... Havent seen this one before. Can you give me another screenshot of your timecode signal in action? Maybe it needs a little more tweaking?

Okay you can turn the gain or the sound card's input up quite a bit, untill the circle touches the box :)

I would say: put the sound card input at about 50% volume. :)

ok, then what?:)

Which settings do you have in the debug window?
