Hi guys, just wanted some confirmations on a few things.
Im doing my first gig at a club next week and wanted to know exactly what i'll have to do to configure my virtual dj 5 pro.
The venue has cdj 1000 mk3s i believe. What will i need to be able to connect my pc to them. I normally connect up to cdj 400s but they're obviously easily configures to vdj. How does the setup differ?
Cheers

just take your 400's and use them.

Unfortunately they're not mine to take. I use them on my radio show so they're owned by the station. Using a laptop would just make it a lot easier for transfering my music and give me a bit more confidence with it really

Unlike the CDJ-400, CDJ 1000's are not MIDI controllers and can only be used via timecode CD.
You will need a suitable ASIO sound card with 4 inputs and 4 outputs such as Hercules DJ Trim, Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ or ESI Maya44 USB.
Timecode CD's can be created yourself using the file downloadable from http://www.virtualdj.com/products/timecode/cd.html - Simply use your CD writing software to burn a couple of audio CD's using this file.
Setup instructions and a diagram can be found on page 9 of the quick start guide: http://www.virtualdj.com/images/pdf/VirtualDJ6-SetupQuickGuide.pdf
NOTE: These are for the latest v6 version - Please register http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and upgrade to the latest version http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html or use the latest v6.1 trial http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html
