you need a external source for sound such as a stereo or amp & speakers.

You can listen to it in yout headphones. I have he same.

thanks

You from Beverley?

yes you can, just choose your lappys sound card in config > sound.

thanks tayla for the help

no probs

tryed that still no sound from laptop

Depending on what you want to do use the drop down window in outputs, but remember to use the laptop sound card and you should be good to go. This is for my desk top.

thanks tayla have done that is there a way to cue the other track via the headphones on the rmx.

or plug your computer speakers into the headphone socket in the RMX...

also do all the buttons light up or only sum

no only some ov them light up. This made me wonder too but thats the way it was made. (i wonder how much an extra 15 LED's would cost?)

oh and you can review the track using the CUE/MIX knob. Turn it anti-clockwise to the CUE setting and review away... but dont forget to turn it back to hear the final mix.

From the Sound Setup menu, you are indicating which soundcard you want VDJ to use. If you select your computer's soundcard, how do you expect the software to use another soundcard output (in this case the Rmx headphone) ?

The reason the Rmx and other similar controllers incorporate a soundcard with all appropriate outputs is to make your life easier: Everything you need is there. Wanting to get the same results with something that is not appropriate ( your computer's soundcard which only has 1 output) and having to go through some hoops to get there is a bit counter-productive.

thanks for all the help everyone
