Just checking if the skin resolution affect the performance of the computer??? the highest resolution on laptop is 1366 x 768 not much to choose for this resolution.. any suggestion.??

The higher res, the more ram is used.. but not that much ;) I dont think you need to worry about it :)
Run a resolution that matches your screen or fills it as much as you can, and i dont think you'll experience any problems

It's better to run a skin fitted to your resolution.
I know there are a only a few.. check here

but you can use Skin Resizer to resize your favorite skin.
