hi,
so im on a new lappy and i cant get it to stop crackling and popping in tcv mode and in internal mode... i know the usual advice is to just play with the settings but nothing works! heres the set up
windows7 64bit
serato sl1 box
vdj pro
new shure mk447 needles
tcv with sv02 serato vinyls
inside the software:
clearsound is disabled
latency is set to auto
latency slider is one notch over from the left
ive tried every combination of safe mode/overclock
on my old pc i have 3 options when choosing a soundcard: 1) maya 44, 2)asio driver, 3) serato (and theres a pic of the sl1 soundcard)... but in windows 7 i only have maya 44 and asio and from the drop down i have to choose sl1 driver.. theres no picture tho i dont know if that makes a diff
also, whenever i hit `asio config` it just crashes
annnd when i make a change and hit `apply changes` the tcv continues but the output sound stops working
pls help

Crackling and popping is usually caused by performance issues with your computer.

Why dont you try windows 7 32 bit, there are more drivers for 32 bit,and you can right click on VDJ and select run as in XP.I have issues with vista but when i decided to get windows 7,I install the 32 bit not 64 bit.Try it and let me know,i dont have a serato box but i used there timecode.

The Serato box may not support Windows 7 64-bit.
