Sujet: Controller options....

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I am looking for a all in one controller that I can use with audio and video. I need to be able to map the crossfader for video. I don't want to spend the money and buying 3 seperate components because I do not play in the clubs as much anymore because I mostly do karaoke. I love the setup of the Numark Mixdeck, but the crossfader does not map to VDJ. I also don't want something small and cheap. I also like to have the + and - pitch shift next to the pitch sliders. What have you guys been using that work very well and can do what I need to do.

Get the NS7. If you look around on craigslist, im sure you will find one for 1,000 or less. i got one two days ago for 850

Well, that is more than I wanted to spend. How well is it working with VDJ? I am using Windows 67 64-bit with an i7-960 processor. I see there is a lot of infor about the NS7 but they are mixed and I see nothing about 64 bit windows 7 and i7 processors, any other suggestions that are working well for people?

I didnt use it with windows but it works good with a macbook pro. The minimum spec to run fine are really high on windows 7 64 bit.

i just tried an Hercules RMX but i couldn't get it to install on my Vista home prem 64 bit

it also would not install on my w7 home prem 64 bit

your mileage could vary ......

i went and got a Numark Omni Control .....worked on the first try

it's pretty basic , you're stil gonna need the mouse a little bit here and there ......it has a sound card , 2 channels

of mediocre sound for me that's okay cuz that's the strip club set up .....i need more simplified

for that

for mobile gigs i am gonna get another controller , something probably with no sound card and

buy a real good sound card separate

my Vista system is a quad core with 8 gigs ram and 1 gig video ram an ATI 4350

the w7 is dual core and 4 gigs ram and an ATI card 1 gig video

make sure you talk to people doing video .......

I would go for an M-audio Xponent, you can get a used one around $300. I like it because every button lights up, making it very easy to see in the dark and it has buttons galore so I can control any function on VDJ. I also like the fact that its slightly bigger than a Hercules RMX or a Numark Omni control but yet very portable.

The M-audio Xponent is a good suggestion, I will have to look into that. Or I may have to wait for the American Audio VMS4.

I recently saw a DJ in a club mixing video and using a Numark Mixdeck. He said that there are updated Mixdeck's that enable you to map the crossfader to Virtual DJ for video transitions, is this true?

look into a korg zero 4. i have solved all if any major problems with mine (most due to my errors) you can find them for $700 or less then you have mixer, midi and sound card.

That would work, but the whole idea is to have an all in one unit for the clubs. If I bought that I would still have to go buy players and that would lead to evan more money, when all I do is play a night or 2 anymore in the clubs.

the RMX i mentioned , didn't work for me , but it might for you .....$350 , lotsa people use it

VMS4 is a possibility ...

I have the opportunity to get a real good deal on a Pioneer DJM-700 Mixer combined with a pair of CDJ-2000s. I use almost 100% Video now so before I relieve this guy of his equipment I want to make sure that the DJM-700 can be MIDI mapped to support video crossfade on VDJ Pro 6.x or greater. I have been using all in one controllers for some time, but want to start learning all the features of the CDJ-2000. Has anyone had any problems with MIDI mapping the DJM-700? Any help would great - Thanks...James

I use to have the 800 and that worked perfect and it was easy.
