Sujet: The Legendary Headphone Problem

Apologies for the start of this topic which has been covered countless times across this forum but I found that after trying every suggestion I was still stuck.

I purchased 6.01 Pro
I use a Samsung R20 plus Laptop and a Hercules Rmx to control VDJ.
I also Purchased a creative X-Fi Go Usb Soundcard (I was told i needed another soundcard to use the headphones)
I Run my laptop into a 2 channel mixer from the headphone port on the X-Fi

My Config goes

Input; none

Output; Headphones (Master : First Card / Headphones : Second Card

Sound Card; 2 Soundcards; Speaker (SB X-Fi Go!)
Speakers (Hercules DJ Console Rmx)

(Also tried with different combinations of my available soundcards)

Now....
When I open up my Playback devices from my taskbar while i have two track playing on VDJ, Both playback devices in the window (hercules DJ console and the X-Fi) Show Volume in the green bar to the right.

Could this mean that the problem is with the laptop soundcard setup and not with the VDJ setup?

Tried to make this as simple as i could any help would be greatly appreciated...

Who exactly told you another soundcard was necessary ?

The Rmx inclues a soundcard to which you can connect both your speakers/mixer (Output 1/2) and headphone. Simply configure VDJ as follow:

- Input : None

- Output(s): Headphone

-Soundcard: DJ Console Rmx


BTW, you should enter your VDJ serial number in your profile, whihc will allow you to download future updates.
