hey guys, need some help this morning!
ok, so i bought my Total Control last December, used it for about a month, and then bought an Xponent and a new Windows 7 laptop. (XP laptop died)....now, im selling the Total Control, and have someone coming over today to check it out...only when i plug it in my new laptop, nothing happens; the computer reads the usb..but VDJ cant access the controller.
my questions are:
1) does this have anything to do with being run on Windows 7 now instead of XP?
2) does this have anything to do with already having another controller (Xponent) being installed?
3) what can I do?!
thanks!

ok so i think has to do with it being used by a different computer.
so i guess my new question, is where can I find the drivers needed to run the Total Control?

You don't need to install anything., the Total Control will be recognized automatically by Windows (to be sure, check in Device Manager under Sound, video and game controller). Give it time after connecting it; sometimes it takes a while before it is completely installed.
Now, as for using it in VDJ:
- Are you using a recent version since moving to Windows 7 ? Maybe the version you were using before doesn't work correctly with a newer OS
(you should register your serial in your profile BTW...)
You can always test it using a MIDI application, as described in this procedure:

Simply replace the Hercules device by the Total Control...

thanks for the help!!
Unfortunately, when I tried to run the MIDI tester, it said no MIDI device was found; and then shuts down.
FML ... theres no way this thing is busted!! It's been sitting in one place for 3 months?!?!?

The Total Control is a plug and play device, the only time it has been known not to install is when a driver has conflicted.
The Total Control uses windows built in drivers, some times other drivers can modify these such as logitech cameras.
I would recommend uninstalling any webcameras to see if this helps if your still stuck contact support.
