Hi, i'm having an intermittent problem with VDJ, this has happened twice in the past month, both times just using regular MP3 files in my residency, no video or Karaoke. The song just stops randomly and the waveform goes to the end of the track, then when I try to play the track on the opposite deck the waveform just goes straight across to the end of the track with a quick zip like sound. i have to reboot the program to make it work properly again. My laptop is pretty high spec, intel dual core, 4gb RAM, using Vista Home Premium, and is only rarely used for anything but DJing, I have checked the common problems page and I appear to have all my settings properly set, so anybody any idea what could be causing this?

Is this happening on your trial version, if so you may need to re download a copy, that is if your time limit hasn't expired.

Thanks Tayla, I have the full pro version, not a trial. I was using Cue until January but bought a DN-HC4500 which didn't work with Cue so upgraded. Had no problem whatsoever until a few weeks back when this happened for the first time. Somebody on another forum suggested that this could be a vista problem but it worked fine for months. Should I reinstall VDJ and see if it fixes the problem? This happened in my residency so it's not such a big deal, but I'd be very disappointed if this happened in the middle of a wedding reception or important function, and I have a few of those coming up.
 
To many are to quick to blame vista for their woes mate, I've been using vista for nearly four years and like you never had any problems with it, a reinstall won't hurt as long as you remember to save your settings and xml file if you do a clean out first, it could also be down to the tracks were played, best check them out first if you can remember which ones they were.

You want to register your copy of VDJ, your missing out on all the goodies in the download section.

What does your setup consist of?
IE: controllers? computer? audio equipment?
 
Hippydog, I use a Dell Inspiron 1525, Intel dual core T8100 2.1Ghz CPU, 4.0 Gb RAM & Windows Vista Home Premium. This is connected by USB to my Denon Dn-Hc4500 Controller. I use a denon dn-x500 mixer. Like i said above it worked perfectly for months and all of a sudden I get this glith twice within a few weeks. Unless I find a solution i will probably downgrade to XP and reinstall VDJ.

could be something to do with your controller..
either a stuck button or one of the wheels sensitivity is set too high..
